We are proud to bring you our Fourth Vintage of the JHG Collection. Our philosophy is to create delicious single-block wines, which are the smallest production unit for vineyards and may not exceed six hectares per cultivar. Since 1723, Jan Harmsgat Farm or JHG, is situated on the most southern tip of the Robertson Wine valley along the foothills of the Langerberg Mountains. Our Farm's unique position borders both the dry climate of the Little Karoo as well as the Mediterranean cool sea breezes from the Coastal Regions.

Waverley Hills is best known for producing organic wines with a unique style, extremely smooth with soft ripe tannins and robust fynbos characteristic. We also dried olives and a small amount of olive oil.

In 2004 we decided to focus all our attention on making wines! On the 10 hectares of land we purchased, adjacent to our previous property, we planted some new and exciting varieties: Grenache, Mouvedré, Cinsaut and Viognier. These grapes influence our blends.
An individualist at heart, Marius has always had the intention of starting his own brand, and becoming a free agent, honoring his winemaking philosophy. Malanot is a Portmanteau for; “Malan”, Marius’ family name, and “Genot” meaning pleasure in Afrikaans.
Marius is an Elsenburg Graduate as well as a Cape Wine Master.
