Newstead will never feel commercial but it will always be exceptional. Since the first harvest a few years ago, its wines & bubbles have won awards (including a Michelangelo double gold) and elevated the region’s winemaking credentials, while its picnics in the vineyards, artisan pizzas and Summer Solstice parties, Polo parties and bespoke events have attracted visitors and groups from out of town and country.
This year, Newstead has opened its much-anticipated Bubble Bar. Its tasting room has newly added home bakes, and its garden has newly planted home growns: peaches, figs, pomegranates and seasonal vegetables – much of which will be used in the menu.
Fresh and made-from-scratch will be the order of the season. Attention to detail is standard, year-round. And the warm, welcoming, no-airs-or-graces ambience lingers long after your visit.
