Worcester

Eagle's Cliff

Situated in the Breede River valley between Worcester and Villiersdorp, the farm gets a Karoo influence on the cool breezes at night from Hermanus. Two distinct terroir, south east and north west, presents the opportunity for completely different styles on one property. The cooler slopes are perfect for Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, while the rocky soil on the other side is ideal for other reds and Tannat in particular.

Aan de Doorns

Situated just 8km from Worcester on the R43 to Villliersdorp, Aan de Doorns is one of the larger cellars in the Worcester region. Since its establishment in 1954, the cellar – which derives its name from the stretch of thorn trees on the banks of the nearby Doorns River – has been striving towards excellence. The decades past have seen an increase in the number of cellar-members, innovation in cellar-equipment and viticultural practices and great strides in the production of quality wines.

De Doorns

De Doorns Cellar was established by table grape farmers of the Hex River Valley on 18 October 1968. The name of the village De Doorns (the thorns) was derived from the many acacia thorn trees and bushes which covered most of the farms when stock farmers originally settled in this area. Under the skillful direction of the Cellar Master, Danie Koen, grapes are cultivated to produce a unique range of good quality wines.

Boschrivier

In 1998 the first vines were planted in the De Villiers family vineyards in virgin shale soils including three hectares of Shiraz, six hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon and three hectares of Shiraz bush.

In 2001 the first bottle of Boschrivier Shiraz was produced. Since then Boschrivier Wines have been focussed on producing boutique Shiraz, with emphasis on quality and not quantity. Boschrivier Wines have specialised in producing award-winning Shiraz for almost 12 years and in 2013 three new wines were added to the range: Rosé, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Brandvlei Cellar

Brandvlei Cellar, founded in 1955 was originally situated next to the Brandvlei Dam. When the dam was enlarged in 1974 the Cellar was relocated to its present position.
This attractive Wine Cellar can be found on the R43 road between Worcester and Villiersdorp in the beautiful Breede River Valley. The name Brandvlei, originally Brandende Vlei, has described the area around the hot water springs.
