Wellington Wines

The Bovlei Building (Previously Bovlei Cellar), serves as the official Wellington Wines taste room. Here, wines can be tasted in a homely atmosphere, where everyone will feel comfortable. Even the younger guests can participate in a "wine tasting" and the venue is wheelchair friendly. While we do not have a restaurant, the wine pairing menu is changed regularly, and platters can be ordered on the side. Sementhas Pancakes, made with a splash of Sauvignon Blanc, can be recommended.

We will be hosting our Christmas Warehouse Sale on Saturday, 3 Dec 2016 from 09h00 until 15h00.

Wines will be on sale from as little as R10, R15 and R20 per bottle! Stay tuned to our Facebook Event page for updates on the available wines. 

You can pay with Cash & Credit Card and refreshments will be available on the day! 

You will be able to start to que from 08h00, first come, first served! Entry is free! :)

Create your own Gin and Liquers

Spend a morning with the original Mr Organic artisan distiller of Wellington. Edmund Oettle has been farming organically for 20 years and is a proud award-winning potstill brandy and grappa producer.

At this workshop you will receive 750ml wine-distilled spirit (43% alc.) from which you will be taught and guided to blend a gin, noccino (pecan nut liqueur) and limoncello from wild harvested lemons. Your creations go home with you – the gin will be ready in 48 hours, the limoncello 2 months and the nut liqueur will take up to 6 months before consumption.
