Wandsbeck Wines

The original farm Wandsbeck dates back to the early 1800’s, but winemaking only started in 1965. The first families to live on this land were the Watermeyer’s & Erasmus’s. Apparently their ancestors came from Wandsbek in Germany, thus they named their farm Wandsbeck as a token of respect to their heritage.

Langverwacht Wines

Langverwacht Cellar is situated in Bonnievale on the Stormsvlei road. The cellar was built to receive the first crop in 1956. The original name was Boesmansrivier Winecellar, but confusion with the name Boesmansrivier Cheese Factory lead to the name change. Langverwacht was the name of the farm on which the cellar was built.

Goedverwacht Wine Estate

The Robertson / Bonnievale district has a dry Karoo climate but at night the air cools down considerably. The soil varies from deep alluvial next to the Breede River to heavy Karoo clay and limey gravel on the slopes, enabling Goedverwacht to produce a wide variety of cultivars suitable to the different soil types.

Frolich Wines

“Good wine is grown in the vineyard” This is the belief of our unique family cellar which is situated in the Robertson Wine Valley. With east facing vineyards and diverse soil types, the winemaker can explore the potential of a wide variety of cultivars that have been specifically suited to the terroir.

Basking in the morning sun and blessed with the cool afternoon breezes that emanate from Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa, provide grapes that are lovingly nurtured to create wines of quality in a style that is characteristic of the cultivar.
