Situated in the estate’s atmospheric Historic Vat Cellar, Brandy & Blues at Backsberg is an experience unlike any other. Guests can expect to enjoy live entertainment by one of South Africa’s most formidable blues artists, Basson Laubscher, a glass of Sydney Back Brandy or glühwein on arrival, and a two course meal consisting of slow-roasted lamb shank and decadent Sydney Back Brandy pudding. Backsberg’s award-winning wines will also be available for sale on the evening.

What better way to spoil Mom on Mother’s Day than with a fabulous Sunday feast at Backsberg! Guests will be greeted with a glass of bubbly or rosé on arrival and moms will each be treated to a special Mother’s Day gift from the team. The Franschhoek Cellar is hosting its Harvest Feast on Saturday, 21 April 2018 at 12h00, and it is going to be a family celebration of note. Join in the abundance of the harvest by enjoying a delicious lunch at our long table with winemaker Ryan Puttick, where he will candidly share his insights and stories about the 2018 harvest.
