The third annual Cabernet Franc Challenge results have just been announced and the Holden Manz team is absolutely delighted with the consistent recognition their Cabernet Franc wines have been receiving year-on-year.

Franschhoek, South Africa, 18 April 2018 Holden Manz Wine Estate situated in the bo-hoek corner of the majestic Franschhoek wine valley has been producing premium South African wines for nearly a decade and has proven its ability to compete against the best in the industry with their wines consistently performing above average.

With the results of the third annual Cabernet Franc Challenge hot off the press, this premium wine producer from Franschhoek has yet again proven that it’s Cabernet Franc wines are a force to be reckoned with.

With the inaugural Cabernet Franc Challenge, held in 2016, the Holden Manz Cabernet Franc Reserve 2014 was awarded with a spot amongst the top six wines entered overall. At the second Cabernet Franc Challenge in 2017 the Holden Manz Cabernet Franc Reserve 2012 was announced overall winner in the vintage category. Now in its third year, the judges of the annual Cabernet Franc Challenge have just announced the results for 2018 and we are delighted to report that not only was the Holden Manz Cabernet Franc Reserve 2015 awarded with gold, but the Holden Manz Cabernet Franc Reserve 2013 has once again won the vintage class!

“We are ecstatic about the stellar performance of our Cabernet Franc wines. Being the only producer to receive top honours three years in a row just shows the consistent quality of the Holden Manz Cabernet Franc” says co-proprietor Gerard Holden. “Our whole wine range is consistent in quality and this is reflected by the continuous growth of interest in Holden Manz by our consumers, both overseas and in South Africa.  I want to thank the great Holden Manz winemaking team led by Cellar Master Thierry Haberer and Winemaker Annamarie Fourie without whose hard work, dedication, professionalism and experience these wines would not exist.”

In celebration of the recent results of the Cabernet Franc Challenge 2018 Holden Manz Wine Estate is offering a limited promotion on its Cabernet Franc Reserve 2015 - for the remainder of the month of April customers will be able to purchase this award-winning wine on a special offer of 3 bottles for the cellar door price of two (3 bottles at R1795 including delivery to SA main cities).
